Keyvan Kakavand

Keyvan Kakavand, with nearly 20 years of experience teaching classical Iranian vocal music, has worked in the areas of voice training, proper sound production, teaching the radifs of the musical modes, and performing tasnifs. He began learning vocal music in childhood and over the years studied under masters such as Ahmad Ebrahimi, Nasrollah Nasehpour, and Hamidreza Nourbakhsh. To further strengthen his vocal techniques, he has also attended classes in Western vocal training and opera.

In addition to his teaching activities, he has performed as a vocalist on the music album Aftab-e Penhan (The Hidden Sun)and has given live performances and concerts in Iran, Europe, and Canada.
